Good corporate governance is central to the Policing Authority successfully delivering its statutory obligations in accordance with statutory requirements and best practice. It is also an essential component of the good and proper management of our organisation.
The Authority is subject to the Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies and to the Corporate Governance Standard for the Civil Service.
Our Governance Framework (pdf) describes the structures, policies and processes that are in place to deliver on these obligations. It also provides for an objective assessment of management and corporate performance. The Authority has developed and adopted a number of other governance documents which govern how it does it business.
