The Policing Authority welcomes today’s publication of the Summary of Findings of the Garda Síochána’s Culture Audit: Your Voice Our Future, conducted independently by Durham University Business School. The Authority received a high level briefing on the work in recent days and looks forward to receiving the report in full, and reflecting on it.
Policing Authority Chief Executive, Helen Hall commented:
“Culture is a vital component in organisational change, and can enable and support reform. It is hoped that these findings will provide a valuable baseline for the Garda Síochána as it continues to enhance its culture. It also may provide a useful comparative against police services in other jurisdictions, including England and Scotland.”
The report is on the agenda for discussion with the Garda Commissioner at the next meeting in public on Thursday 29 September 2022. The meeting will be live-streamed on www.policingauthority.ie.
