Policing Authority publishes interim report on The Experiences of Victims of Crime with the Garda Síochána

The Policing Authority has published an interim report on The Experiences of Victims of Crime with the Garda Síochána. The research project, which was commissioned by the Policing Authority and is being carried out by Trilateral Research, was designed to provide insight into victims’ experiences of their interactions with the Garda Síochána and the impact of these interactions.

The interim report outlines Phase 1 of the research project, which focused on setting the scene for the primary research gathering exercise with NGOs and victims of crime, which is to take place in Phase 2.

Due to the COVID-19 health pandemic, Phase 2 of the project, which will involve face to face interactions with research participants has been postponed until January 2021

It is expected that the research project will be complete in June 2021.
