Policing Authority assessment on Policing Performance July 2019
The Policing Authority has publishd its half-year assessment of the Garda Síochána’s performance against the Annual Policing Plan for 2019.

The Policing Authority will meet on Wednesday 29th April 2020. The meeting with the Garda Commissioner in Public will commence at 4pm.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions it is not possible for the public to attend this meeting in person on this occasion. However the meeting will be available to watch live on the Authority’s website here.

Policing Authority publishes Assessment of Policing Performance July 2021
The Policing Authority has today published its first Assessment of Policing Performance in 2021. The assessment covers the policing performance in the first six months of 2021 and is made primarily but not exclusively against the commitments made by the Garda Síochána in its Policing Plan 2021.

The Policing Authority has appointed Mr. Derek Penman to conduct an independent, external preliminary examination of the adequacy of the review being undertaken by the Garda Síochána of the invalid and unwarranted closure of CAD incidents.

The Policing Authority has today published the 15th in a series of reports on its assessment of policing performance by the Garda Síochána during the COVID-19 crisis, which was submitted to the Minister for Justice on Monday.
